Photoshop Video Tutorial Experiment 1

Last week wrote a post about video tutorials and thought I would start making some. So yesterday, even though I’m on vacations and it was Sunday I decided to try some tools and see how they would work. I did a very short tutorial just to see how long I would take to create a tutorial and how hard that task would be.

Even though I didn’t speak through the tutorial it’s very easy to follow. But the next one I promise I will use my beautiful voice, yeah right.

So this is just a short tutorial showing how to enhance your photos in Photoshop. Not a big deal but I think it was a nice experience. And if anybody has tips of tools and how to create video tutorials, please let me know.

its a great effect, the only problem is, the video is very unclear. you cant read any of the words in the effects list or see what blend mode hes using or anything. and making it fullscreen....no way. wayy to choppy and pixelated. idk what to do to fix this. but its just not very clear.

my advice for the other readers - you should watch this video straight by vimeo site - it has better quality than watching their vids embeded! (look at the HD icon on the right side of video window while pointing it with the cursor).
nice tutorial Fabio

Don't capture your whole screen when you do your video tutorials. So change where you place your palettes and work on a smaller canvas (so to speak), that way users can see what you're doing better. In this vid, we can't see exactly what you're doing (Filter > Blur > etc...), just the end result on the canvas. It sucks for you while you're making it, b/c everyone loves a larger working space, but the video is to help others. Adding a voice will help as well.

I used iShowU too, it's a very handy app! Another one I like is
ScreenFlow, it's a video recording and editing tool, check it out! ;)
