This week's wallpaper is a design I created inspired by the work of Adhemas Batista, a fantastic brazilian designer who has done some incredible works mixing photos and vectors.

I've just finished my new Photoshop tutorial and this time it won’t have lighting effects, with glows and sparks all over, however its is again a request from a user. Tom suggested if we could create a brushed aluminum texture similar to the Apple products.
Today I saw that the guys at PSDTUTS.com published another tutorial I wrote, Reader Request: MSNBC Style Effect. It's a really nice effect and very easy too. One of the coolest thing in this effect is that you can use it to create lots of different designs. You can create a header for your site like MSNBC did, or you can create some compositions with photos.
Last year I had written a tutorial showing how to create some lighting effects in Photoshop, it was called Magic Lighting Effects. A lot of people liked it, but some people still have some questions on how to achieve that effect.
Last week I was talking to a friend of mine and he told me that he needed to create a gold effect in Photoshop. He tried to find a good tutorial online but he said he didnt find any. I'm pretty sure that there are good tutorials showing how to do that, however I created my own Gold Style.
